Each board has a rotating schedule with at least 1/3rd of the board rotating off each year. The boards meet via conference call on a quarterly basis and in person at least once per year. Board members are expected to dedicate 2-4 hours per month towards their Advisory Board.

Board terms are a one (1) year initial term with a two (2) year extension option. Board members who are active contributors will be automatically granted a two (2) year extension serving a full three (3) year term.

Eligibility

To be eligible to serve on an ASI Advisory Board, the candidate must:
  • be actively employed by an ASI member firm
  • have three (3) years experience (employment) in the industry
  • have a proven track record of success in the industry
  • obtain a recommendation from top management within their firm
  • only principals, or those acting as the principal, can serve on the ASI Advisory Board
  • distributor firms must have a credit score of 80, or better
  • supplier firms must have a supplier rating of four (4) stars, or better

July 31st – ASI Advisory Board Nominations close

September 1 - 30, 2010 – 2011 ASI Advisory Board Voting

November, 2010 – Results of 2011 ASI Advisory Boards election announced at ASI Power Summit
