Roark says, "All of this gives me a unique perspective of technology and what technology can do and needs to do to fit the end-user. My perspective, coming from a trainer's and designer's eye, is to make software/technology work best for the lowest common denominator … how will it work for the computer-timid user. This entails not only ease in user-interface, but efficiency in design and keeping it as simple as possible."

She continues, "I believe I could make a significant contribution to the ASI Technology and Operations Advisory Board. I was on the ESP Advisory Board a few years ago, until it was disbanded, and was able to contribute many ideas. Technology today is a more robust animal. It's no longer just a tool for work and communication – it has become the basis of our society, and where we look first for all information. We must use it, and use it wisely to harness the power for our industry."
